Dried Pumpkin

Cucurbita maxima Duchesne

Dried pumpkin in 10x10 mm slices from thick-fleshed varieties of the Khorezm and lower Amu Darya area, traditionally grown for storage and drying. High natural sugar and carotene give a sweet taste and a warm orange colour, which works in porridge and cereal mixes, soup and puree concentrates, bakery fillings, baby-food raw material and pet-food formulations. Powder and finer dice are produced to order.
