Dried Pepper

Capsicum annuum L.

Dried capsicum pepper offered whole, sliced in 3x3, 5x5 and 10x10 mm calibres or milled to powder, in sweet (paprika) and hot types. Grown in the hot southern regions of Uzbekistan, the pods reach full colour on the plant, so the ground product holds a strong red hue without added colourants. Used in spice and seasoning blends, sausage and meat production, sauces, instant products and snack coatings; ASTA colour value and pungency (SHU) are fixed in the contract specification.
