Dried Beetroot
Beta vulgaris L. subsp. vulgaris
Dried table beetroot in 10x10 mm slices from dark-fleshed varieties with a high betanin content, dried at controlled temperature so the pigment is not degraded. It carries colour and an earthy-sweet taste into borscht and soup concentrates, dry sauce and seasoning mixes, bakery and snack products, and serves as raw material for natural colouring preparations. Powder and finer dice are milled on request.
